"Most lick mats have too tiny of spaces for a larger dogs tongue to reach so most of the paste has to be washed away afterward. Dog tongues are not raspy like cats, so when they lick stuff doesn't get picked up but more just pushed around, so some lick mats don't work well. But these Love lick mats are perfect. The grooves are large enough and there are a variety of turns and grooves to work on. My dogs have to work at it for awhile and eventually clean it all up! Great mind stimulation toy!
